T-Rim
is 100% E-glass warp knitted reinforcement fabric and is typically
used to reinforce Polyurethane coated (PU) mouldings produced
by SRIM. Variations in tex yarns can be used to give different
product weights and other material options include Cotton, Polyethylene
Terephthalate (Pet), Polypropylene (PP) and Kevlar, etc
Application:
For use typically to reinforce Polyurethane coated (PU) mouldings
produced by Structural Reaction Injection Mouldings (SRIM)
Benefits:
Highly deformable; 100% E-glass; no binders; no pre-forming
required; easy to handle; consistency of cover.
Practical Application:
Above shows an intricate shaped radiator cowl for a sports car
using Polyurethane resin injection moulding. 400gm T-rim has
been used in PU part. Glass fabric has been shown attached to
half of part on surface to show how easy it was to use when
moulding a complicated shaped part.
